Two dead in Maumee crash

March 31, 2015
By jhartle@lgslaw.net

Maumee Police are investigating a crash that took the lives of two people. The accident happened at the intersection of Cass Rd. and Dussel. According to a preliminary investigation, a black Dodge Ram pick-up traveling westbound on Dussel was struck by a red Chevrolet Sedan that was northbound on Cass. Both of the drivers were transported to UTMC, where they later passed away from their injuries.

Investigators say that alcohol and excessive speed are factors in the crash. Maumee Police say that minutes before the crash, they received a phone complaint of a possible intoxicated driver in a red Chevy Sedan on Gibbs Street near the Anthony Wayne Trail.
