It’s that time again this year, when the orange barrels and road crews return to the Toledo area highways to begin improving our local infrastructure. And this year is looking to be a doozy of a year, with lane closures, ramp closures, and construction everywhere around, in and out of Toledo. With the construction zones comes lane closures, reduce lane size, slower speed limits, slow-moving construction vehicles, and slow/stopped traffic. And with all this, comes an increase in traffic crashes. It is important that all drivers out there be vigilant and be on the lookout for other traffic or anything else that poses a hazard to you and your family. Respect the posted speed limits and other traffic control devices in the construction zone, and allow yourself a little more time to get where you are going, as there inevitably will be delays along the way.
