Lawmakers consider increasing Ohio speed limit to 75 m.p.h

March 17, 2015

Less than two years after the last hike, lawmakers are again considering raising the speed limit, this time to 75 miles per hour on the Ohio Turnpike and rural highways.

That would give Ohio the highest maximum speed limit in the region for passenger vehicles with all of its neighbors at 70 mph or less.

With higher speeds comes more significant impact when crashes occur, leading to serious injuries or even death for those involved. If you or a loved one has been injured or died in a car accident, trucking accident, or motorcycle accident, contact the knowledgeable and skilled attorneys at Lafferty Gallagher & Scott, LLC at 419-241-5500 or email us.
